Isn't it always night ... ?? Good afternoon, are you open??
The long queue worth the taste of gudeg. The best gudeg in Jogja (of what I've ever tasted). Looking for another opportunity to come here..
MoreAlways come here every go to Yogya.. Their gudeg so delish..They open 22.00 - sold but i recommend to come around 21.30 so you can still have many food to choose..
MoreVery long queue, especially on weekend. Recommended for people who want to taste gudeg in Jogja, one of the best gudeg in Jogja
MoreArguably the best gudeg in Yogyakarta, this place will take you inside the kitchen upon ordering! ("pawon" means kitchen in Javanese). The gudeg and its supporting dish are soo fresh! You can see the cook working her magic on those fresh rice, gudeg, and egg on top of a traditional stoves. Typical "eat first, pay later" stall so your honesty is tested at this place. Opens at few mins before 10pm but the queuing starts way earlier. If you want full presentation on your plate, try to arrive at around 9.30pm as few chicken parts are limited. This one is my favorite gudeg in Yogyakarta. ⭐️⭐️🌟⭐️⭐️
MoreIndonesian food called Gudeg, kind of a bit sweet food. This one is legend because they serve from their kitchen (pawon). I need to queing for 55 minutes to taste the gudeg. But it is worth it! Yummy
MoreTraditional way to enjoy Gudeg fresh from the kitchen itself. Sadly its open only very limited time. No more than 3 hours and it happened at night!!
MoreThe authenticity of the place makes it so amazing and interesting and definitely puts this place on top of the list of must visit places in jogja. And prepare for interesting and intensive combination of sweet and spicy flavours.
MoreTaste is wonderful but almost took an hour to get the gudeg
Very nice gudeg..the best in town
Gudeg was delicious and everything was absolutely perfect but what I hate the most is the queue and ambience the place too dark and crowded, but that’s okay I will be back sometimes later
MoreGreat experiences to eat gudeg
the taste is just like ordinary gudeg, nothing special other than the long queue.. most def not going back. i don't know why this place is so popular, maybe because the long queue makes people curious..
MoreFresh gudeg, delicious. Come earlier to get first line.
Like the version of gudeg served here, not too sweet and not too dry. Too bad it just opens at about 10 pm, when I'd rather let my digestion rest and go to sleep. Thinking about queuing in their hot and smokey traditional kitchen for some time with less space to eat make me less excited to come back here
MoreI prefer not to eat in this place anymore according to the loooooonngggg que
good
A recommended place for people who want to try authentic Yogyakarta traditional food. It's just the queue so crazy.
MoreEven though you have to wait in a long line to earn this delicacy, it is totally worth it!Gudeg Pawon earn its name because the place alone is located at a kitchen with a traditional stone stove, in javanese, this is called 'pawon'. Unlike other Gudeg in Jogja, the gudeg here is not too sweet, yet savory and very tender. The chicken is also very soft and meaty, with its spicy flavor seeping to every fiber of its meat. I get full satisfaction from a gudeg by eating here.
MoreOk let's be honest, the Gudeg defenitely just an ordinary gudeg and nothing special about the taste, you could find a way better one across Yogyakarta. The thing is..what makes this place so famous is the 'concept' and the hype of net, that's all about it.They sell the food in a humble traditional village style kitchen (which make people think its the most authentic, we know people go crazy for this kind of concept and hype right?)and only open for 3 hours (which make people think it would sold fast, so long queque is happened). The food serve directly from the hot pot, so you will eat it while it still warm. The service is lousy and slow (old man and woman serve food, pay, and talk at the same time). The price is not that affordable for Yogyakarta standard either, higher rate than other bigger proper Gudeg restaurant (especially this one who sell from 'traditional village style kind of kitchen')
MoreOne of d best gudeg in the world 😉
It is a house converted to small resto but surprisingly always there is a queue in hereSo if you want to at least give it a try.. at least try once. The gudeg is tasty. But prepare for the long queue. I waited for 2 hours for this gudeg And this gudeg place only opens at night. Usually from 9pm to midnightWell, something to try at least once 😊
MoreGreat if you love "gudeg basah" , Krecek was spicy and tasty
Taste good but place not comfort
The Gudeg sure is amazing and tasty, but sure I'm not getting the line up for these meal, my family and I had to queue for almost 1.5 hr just to eat here. also they have no parking space,, and I had troubled looking my way back to the hotel,,yeah it is one delicious gudeg,, but will I come back for some more? probably not.. doesn't worth the effort and time..
MoreWho does not love gudeg? If you want to try the original taste of gudeg, you have to come to this place. It is famous for tourist because it serves the best gudeg I have ever ate (if you have other recommendation, please tell me). The price is $$ depends on what meals you will have. You have to come here at 9 because the queue closed at 10.30. I have to wait in the line for an hour to have my dinner. Oh, and taste the Wedang Uwuh for a good, warm night.
MoreThe special thing is feeling the sensation of a long queue at the kitchen or pawon for a plate of Gudeg. Taste is not much different from the others.
Moreover all i love it but it services need to be speed up
The best Gudeg in town. So yummy. You might have long queue, but it is worth.
Best gudeg ever
Legendaryy food, recommend for night culinary
Missed a chance to taste their gudeg. Open at 9.30 pm but when arrived at 10 pm, gudeg was sold out, meanwhile people still queueing and hoping they will get some gudeg.
MoreVery good dish , cons only for waiting time , you need arrive at least 1 hour before it is open
MoreBest gudeg i've tasted so far
I don't have any comments for the food, that's so awesome and delicious because we get it right from their kitchen. The place is quite hidden and little bit difficult to park your car. If you come right when this place opened, you will be queuing long enough.
MoreThe food was good, but it is so famous that you have to come at least at 9.00 p.m. if you want to get one (they're open at 9.30).
MoreThe gudeg is very delicious with traditional taste from the charcoal, and it's more delicious if you enjoy the gudeg tommorow morning.
MoreThe best gudeg in Jogja. Like it
Best place to eat freshly cooked gudeg. Only open at night and only for a few hours, so you should come around 20 minutes before open, so the queue will not be long.
MoreTasteful, cheap, and tgis what u called home food.. Only downside is the waiting list more than 30 min.. If you in a hurry i suggest you to try another restaurant
MoreThe best gudeg
Tasty gudeg. Different from mainsteam gudeg, godeg pawon is less sweet and has gravy. Reasonable price for the taste. Always be ready for long queue. Recomended.
MoreImo, This gudeg pawon is more delicious if it is compared to the famous Gudeg Yu Djum (which i think that the taste is just merely fair). Yet we have to come early at 9.30 pm in order to avoid long queue.
MoreNice food with worth price
It does taste good among other gudeg that put higher price tag
it has unique taste of gudeg and it's so delicious. the queue is really mental. it opens at 9 PM and really SOLD at 11 PM. so? hurry up!
Moregood taste and cheap price for different from mainstream gudegit's way to try authentic traditional food fresh from kitchen..ahh btw prepare yourself .. very long queue
MoreAlthough it opens at 21.30. the queue starts at 21.00 and takes 60mins to last. it takes considerable time to get the food. To be frank, the taste just average.
MoreIf you want to know how old time kitchen in most Java looked like, just visit this night restaurant. No kerosene or even gas stove you would see. Only cut wood or bamboo is used as the fuel of the "bonfire" stove. Nice experience for millennials
MoreThe place is crowded.. The food is pretty good
So delicious! Prepare yourself for a long queue
